Current exhibition at Pallent House Gallery, Chichester, UK.  Eleen Agar (1899-1991). Thus far she's been  overlooked or 'pigeon-holed as a surrealist' which gives a limited, even misleading perspective on the work in this exhibition.

hard drive hard times

- can't get to the japan photos saved on my hard drive. horrible feeling I've just deleted four years of photographs. no!

In perhaps the most expensive shopping complex I've ever experienced, Tokyo's 'Midtown', situated in the roppongi district had Marni, muzac, Dean&Deluca, two museums, and the most extraordinarily glam toilets. To give you a taste, the above photo shows how they package strawberries in the 'supermarket'. Although it was more like couture nutrition.

Hello Blighty again. Woke up at 4 am today in my bed at home. Outside the garden is crisp with a heavy frost and the clear days of J-sun in Tokyo are thousands of miles away. An exciting time. The fact that most things were shut on and over New Years Day didn't detract from the urban adventure. Photographs to follow suit.
